A predictable, no-surprises process.

Four steps from first call to first clean. Most new contracts go live within 10 working days — no drawn-out onboarding.

  1. 01

    Roof inspection

Drone or pole-camera survey of the roof. Gutter check follows. We agree the right access method.

  2. 02

    Roof treatment

Heavy moss removed first, then biocide softwash applied at the correct dilution — no jetting on tiles.

  3. 03

    Gutter clearance

Vacuum gutters, bag debris, inspect and flush downpipes. Photo evidence provided.

  4. 04

    Annual return

Optional annual biocide top-up keeps the roof clean long-term.

What a treated roof looks like afterwards.

Moss doesn't arrive overnight. It takes hold on the shaded lower courses first, creeps up the slate and around the hips, then breaks away and settles in the gutter line — which is usually the point people notice something is wrong.

Biocide softwash kills the growth at the root rather than blasting it off, so the slate and the mortar are left alone and the moss doesn't come straight back. Heavy build-up comes off by hand first, and the gutters are vacuumed and flushed in the same visit. Drag the slider to see the same roof before and after.

Common questions about roof.

Can't see yours? Call 01647 279 079 — happy to chat it through.

Can you clean a roof without jetting it?
Yes — biocide softwash kills moss and lichen at the root. Jetting roof tiles voids most tile warranties and dislodges mortar; we never do it.
Do you need to put ladders against my house?
Only when there's no safer option. We use IPAF powered access for most roof work, and vacuum from the ground for gutters. Fascia boards stay damage-free.
How long does the biocide treatment last?
Typically 3–5 years before significant re-growth, depending on tree cover and aspect. An optional annual top-up extends it indefinitely.
Do you work on commercial buildings?
Yes — we take on industrial roofs, warehouse gutters and commercial downpipes. IPAF for access, full RAMS.
